Do you struggle with numbness, tingling, burning, shooting pains and weakness through your wrists and hands? Professional musicians, computer programmers, factory workers, hair stylists and those who use their hands on a regular basis for work are often susceptible to these symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Many turn to surgery for carpal tunnel relief, but our Los Gatos chiropractor has helped many patients find natural, non-invasive relief instead. In fact, chiropractic care for CTS actually improves the wellness of your hands, wrists and body so that future pains become less likely.
CTS starts when the median nerve, which passes through the narrow, rigid tunnel of bone inside your wrist, is squeezed by inflammation from surrounding tissues. This nerve controls the feeling and function of your hand and fingers, so when it is pinched, painful symptoms follow. Our Los Gatos chiropractor provides CTS patients a comprehensive wellness approach to carpal tunnel relief:
Physical therapy is also enormously helpful for CTS. We teach our patients stretches and exercises designed to build strength and flexibility in the hands while healing imbalances. We also train our patients to approach their work in more ergonomic ways that reduce repetitive stress problems that lead to CTS in the first place.

Dr. Jen helped me fully recover from a car accident when my primary care physician, long-term physical therapy, and therapeutic massage had no benefit at all. I've had really mixed experiences with chiropractors in the past (mostly unhelpful), but Dr. Jen knows techniques that were very effective and restored full range of motion to my neck without pain. I am beyond grateful and have referred one of my best friends to her; the friend is just as delighted as I am. In addition to being uniquely effective, Dr. Jen provides the perfect balance between nurturing human warmth and professional efficiency. I think she's amazing.
